I will be teaching Kriya's based on my intuition of what is happening in the world and within our community to best serve all that show up. Kriya's are a combination of Breath Work, Poses, Mantra and Meditation. Many people ask if this is "Normal" Yoga and I always reply with its Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness, the yoga that helps to heal. It is very kind, loving and supportive.
I started practicing Kundalini Yoga over 2 years ago after it was recommended that I look for a class to better my overall health and emotional being. I thought it was a crazy idea but was eager to be better so I found a workshop and literally jumped in with both feet. It was every emotion you can think of but it worked in the most magical way. I have never felt the same since then and continue to practice every day.
AND NOW I AM A KUNDALINI YOGA TEACHER!
If your thinking that your not strong enough, tall enough, in shape or will not be able to get yourself into weird positions then your in the right place! That was me! I totally felt like I would never be able to do Yoga because of my lower back issues, my curves, my weak wrists etc etc. I still cannot get into all of the positions but guess what? It does not matter! You see Kundalini is all about the ENERGY not the exercise. Now don't get me wrong some of the Kriya's we do definitely work your body but more importantly they strengthen your mind and soul. Kundalini Yoga is the Yoga of Awareness.
